At last! the rain has come, soft steady soaking rain the day after my first week's vegetable seedling planting. Great timing I dare say.
The temperature is very cool (6 degrees at the moment and we are in the clouds) The long term weather forecast is saying rain on and off over the next 10 days, so I believe the season has begun.
We planted on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning the following seedlings
Swiss Chard (Spinach)- 500
Green beans- 500
Cauliflower-200
Baby Marrows-200
Crispy lettuce-100
Next week we are putting in 1500 Swiss Chard only.
