SNOW 2012
As I have confirmed before we get snow at least once a year...this year is no exception!
a very deep cold front has moved through SA and snow has fallen in many unusual places and the usual closure of major roads has occurred.
On Watershed, it started Monday night and snowed through Tuesday, Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
I estimate around 350mm has fallen in total. The temperature has hovered between -2 and zero centigrade for most of this time. Tonight, the local area projection is minus 8degrees!!!! This is due to a clear night and strongish winds blowing S S/w over the drakensberg snow. I do hope it does not get that cold.
A couple of pics
