THE STORY.........FEELINGS

How does one come to terms with a big change of mind comfort? Our move produced a wide variety of feelings in essence steping out into the almost unknown arena, the rolling foothills of the Drakensberg, farmland and rural people, would we adjust?
Night 1 . The utter silence of the night was abruptly interrupted by the chorus of Jackels calling each other, my pretend fast asleep got a whole lot more pretend when Anne anxiously asked what it was. I pretended to snore, als her prod prompted my reply' Jackels!
Later the hoot of a giant Eagle owl broke the silence again' almost eerily resonant against another sound I had never heard before. This whine/whistle/shriek did worry me... not a lot of sleep had, but I guess the sounds were far more acceptable than the fear of intruder attack. All our townie friends had worriedly spoken in muted terms of the dangers of being out in the bush land.
In five happy years that fear has evaporated, only reappearing when we stay over in the city!!
