WHAT'S IN THE GROUND THIS WINTER

I have waited until the almost full emergence of the seeds/cloves planted to declare what our hoped winter crop should be.
GARLIC:- Italian pink variety there are 150 metres at 30 plants per metre = 4500 plants
Giant, there are 100 metres at 30 plants per metre = 3000 plants
We should get a yield of 75% on both and hope for a sale proceed of R8500 for the Pink and R6500 for the Giant, combined R15000.

Beetroot:- 6000 plants at 75% yield gives 4500 or 1125 bunches at R4 per bunch, a total of R4500.

Carrots-  8000 plants at a 60% yield gives 4800 or 1200 bunches at R4 per bunch, a total of R4800

So if all goes well Winter should provide Veg turnover of R24000. Costs will be approx half of that so profit R12000.
