Once one has had a few seasons of unpredictable weather, choose the moment to do what must be done.
Yesterday I had the chance to mow the top meadow which is around 3 acres and the Rye grass was ready! Hopefully the cut grass will dry in the next day or two so that baling can be undertaken. The family was agast that I had abandoned them to do this chore, alas very necessary.
Today I intend to pick and pack some samples of Lettuce, baby spinnach, carrots and take them with our Egyptian Pink garlic to a local farmstall in Hilton- this in an attempt to establish myself as a reliable quality vegetable supplier- I will keep you posted as to the outcome
